How it works

Flatly writes a header row to Excel Online, then one row per record. Nested ClickUp fields are flattened into their own columns, so the WorkspaceTasks dataset arrives as 74 columns.

Choose the exact workspace each sync reads

If you have access to more than one workspace in ClickUp, you don't need a separate connection for each. After you connect, Flatly lists the workspaces your login can reach, and each sync reads from the one you pick. Set up one sync per workspace, each with its own schedule and destination, all from a single connection.

What is unique about this integration?

Custom Field Enrichment

Flatly automatically enriches some fields in some ClickUp data sets if they contain Custom Fields. Your resulting data will contain extra columns, created by Flatly, which are labeled by a combination of the prefix "flatly_enriched" and a suffix derived from your Custom Field's label. The values under these enriched columns will be useful and interpretable by human users, instead of being identifiers meant for computer programs.

Do I need to install anything?

No. There are no plugins, add-ins or downloads to set up. Flatly writes XLSX files to your OneDrive, and you open them in Excel for the web (formerly Excel Online), which runs in the browser. Excel for the web is free with a Microsoft account; a Microsoft 365 subscription is not required.

Where are the files stored?

In your OneDrive, hosted by Microsoft, in the Apps > Flatly folder.

I use a work or school account. Which destination do I pick?

Choose OneDrive for Business. Excel Online connects to the OneDrive of a personal Microsoft account. OneDrive for Business connects to the OneDrive included with a Microsoft 365 work or school account. Files in either open in Excel for the web.
