Flatly writes a header row to Excel, then one row per record. Nested Notion fields are flattened into their own columns, so the DatabaseRecords Alltime dataset arrives as 21 columns.

How do files get to Excel on my computer?

Flatly writes XLSX files to OneDrive. The OneDrive sync app, included with Windows 10 and 11 and available for Mac, keeps that folder synced to your computer. Each new sync appears in File Explorer or Finder under OneDrive > Apps > Flatly and opens in desktop Excel. No plugins or add-ins are needed.

Will the files be available offline?

By default OneDrive can keep files online-only and download them when opened. To keep a local copy at all times, right-click the Flatly folder and select Always keep on this device.

Can I use Dropbox or Google Drive instead?

Yes. Their desktop apps sync files to your computer the same way. Choose the Dropbox or Google Drive destination.
